On Thursday June 26, 2025, just prior to 8:00pm, Peterborough County OPP officers received a call regarding a vehicle that had been abandoned in a ditch on Tindle Bay Road.
Officers arrived on scene and observed the vehicle but there was no driver to be found. Officers made effort to contact the registered owner to ensure their well-being but were unsuccessful in reaching them. Officers went back to the vehicle only to have the driver return a short time later. Officers spoke with the driver and determined them to be under the influence of alcohol. The individual was arrested and transported to the Peterborough County OPP detachment for further testing.
Jeremy MCMULLEN (age 40) of Selwyn, ON., was arrested and charged with;
· Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused had their drivers licence suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on July 22, 2025.
