On Thursday, January 29, 2026, members of the North West Region ERT conducted a traffic stop as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. Two individuals were arrested and charged with multiple drug related offences.
The search and arrests resulted in the seizure of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, cell phones, Canadian currency, and other drug paraphernalia.
As a result of the investigation, Noah SHERIDAN, a 23-year-old male from Hamilton, is charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Criminal Code with:
Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
Possession of prohibited device or ammunition for dangerous purpose
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
Fail to comply with probation order
Marvin MASSIE-AKEY, a 22-year-old male from Hamilton, is charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Criminal Code with:
Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
Possession of prohibited device or ammunition for dangerous purpose
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
The accused individuals were remanded into custody following bail court and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden at a later date.
