(ST.MARYS, ON) On Sunday August 11, 2013 shortly before 2 a.m. a Perth County Ontario Provincial (OPP) officer on patrol observed a Chevrolet Tracker being driven south bound on Water St. South in St.Marys. The vehicle was observed crossing the centre line a number of times. The vehicle was pulled over by the officer on Hwy 7 and it was determined that the driver was impaired. The male driver was arrested and transported to the North Perth OPP Detachment in Listowel where he provided two samples of his breath; both were above the legal limit.
William BIDDLE (37) of St.Marys has been charged with "impaired driving", and "drive motor vehicle - over 80 mgs of alcohol". He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on September 23, 2013. He also received an automatic 90 day driver's licence suspension and the Tracker was impounded for seven days.
