As most you long time readers know, North Huron staff don’t have job descriptions making it impossible to hold any staff member to account. They also refuse to fill out timesheets. Now town staff get to write their own job descriptions because the new CAO apparently lacks this very basic senior management skill and/or has absolutely no idea what town staff are supposed to do. I guess a degree in map colouring (Geography) offers zero business or management skills...who knew?
Council is spinning this 2018 Mega Million giveaway in an election year as “Wage and compensation review”. NOTE: The CAO has confirmed that no staff member will see a drop in salary. In the worst case scenario a staffer will only see minor bonuses and cost of living increases for the next year or two.
Council is expected to announce a “NH staff only” catered party/meeting in the coming weeks to start the extreme taxpayer teat sucklefest.
