Anonymous Tip Leads Arrest Of Gloria WESTERHOUT

Just before 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018 Huron OPP received a call from a citizen about a vehicle that was travelling erratically southbound on London Road just outside of Exeter.
Officers immediately began patrolling for the suspect vehicle and within a few minutes the suspect vehicle and driver were spotted parked in a parking lot at the north end of Exeter.
The investigating officer approached the vehicle and spoke with the female driver. Upon speaking with the female driver the officer noted the female was displaying signs of impairment. She was subsequently arrested for Impaired Care & Control and was transported to the Exeter OPP detachment for breath tests. She subsequently provided two samples of her breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both of her samples registered over the legal limit.
Gloria WESTERHOUT, 61 years of age, from Central Huron has been charged with Care & Control While Impaired and Care & Control Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. She was released from custody with a court date scheduled for July 26, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Exeter. In addition, her driver's licence has been suspended for an automatic 90 days and her vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
