Drunk Driver Arrested On Exeter's Main Street

At approximately 12:38 a.m. on July, 15, 2018 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer noticed a driver of a small hatchback was travelling in an erratic manner on George Street near Main Street North in Exeter.
A traffic stop was conducted on Main Street and it was determined the driver had been consuming alcohol and was displaying several signs of impairment. The driver was arrested for impaired driving and was transported to the Exeter OPP detachment for breath tests. She subsequently provided two samples of her breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both of her samples registered over the legal limit.
Marilyn LIGHTFOOT, 57 years of age, from Exeter has been charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. She has since been released from custody with a court date scheduled for August 23, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Exeter.
