(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) - On Monday July 9, 2018 at approximately 6:00 a.m., an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on Winston Churchill Boulevard, north of Erin. The officer observed a male driving a white sedan at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 70 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 120 km/h, exceeding the posted speed limit by more than 50 km/h.
48-year-old Antonio GRAVIOSI of Shelburne has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on August 27, 2018. His driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
