$105,000 Stolen Boat Recovered - KELL & SCOTT Arrested

On Thursday, July 18, 2019 shortly before 10:00 p.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a call from a witness that reported some suspicious activity taking place at a marine retail & service center located on Bluewater Veteran's Highway north of Grand Bend. The caller reported he observed some suspicious people hooking onto a trailer and pontoon boat after-hours at the business so he confronted them.
Upon confronting the suspects they quickly departed the business towing the boat and trailer northbound on Bluewater Veteran's Highway. Simultaneously officers began patrolling for the suspect vehicle. A short while later, an OPP officer spotted the suspect vehicle and pontoon boat pulled over on Dashwood Road.
Subsequent investigation confirmed the pontoon boat & trailer were in fact just stolen from the business. As a result, the investigating officer arrested three suspects at the scene.
Jason KELL, 34 years of age from Mount Albert has been charged with Break, Enter and Commit an Indictable Offence, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 and Disobey Court Order. He remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for July 23, 2019 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
Joanne SCOTT, 57 years of age and Mark HANSBURY, 64 years of age both from Mount Albert have been charged with Break, Enter and Commit an Indictable Offence and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000. They were both released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for August 26, 2019 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
